We are a small family run rattery located in northern Pasadena. We have been dedicated hobbyists in the rat fancy game, and are now breeding from time-honored stock. Our animals are bred for personality, temperament and health. While we may at times produce show quality animals, that is not our purpose. We breed these intelligent, affectionate animals to produce loving family pets.

We believe rats are wonderful pets for anyone who is interested in them! They are gentle, clean, intelligent, and therapeutic. Please ask about our priority for chemo patients who want a hairless rat!

FAR Ratties for Haiti!
100% of the proceeds from this litter's adoption fees will be donated to Mercy Corps to help with recovery for the Haitians hurt by the earthquake. If you are looking for an amazing pet, why not contribute to those in need at the same time?

Dwarf Rats Our dwarf rats will steal your heart! We have a variety of colors and patterns, and have hairless and are working on double rex and harley!
Hairless Rats    Our hairless rats are the stars of the day! We are blessed with lactating hairless lines...these are healthly babies!
Other Fancy Rats  Beautiful siamese, burmese, hooded, blazes and
                                                    the occasional tailless!

We specialize in siamese, burmese and hairless in dwarf and standard. We are exploring rex and double rex dwarfs.

PCKG Chunky Monkey and Far Smooth Operator
PCKG Chunky Monkey, a lovely Russian Blue girl dallied with FAR Smooth Operator, a beautiful Siamese hairless dumbo. Their mating was successful, and on Dec. 18 we greeted the first Chunky and Smooth litter! 9 males, Russian Blue Agoutis, Siamese (ruby and black eye), Agouti and Black. Some dumbo, all are carriers! These beauties will be available 01-21-10!

RRLM Patootie and FAR Chuck. Patootie is a burmese hairless, Chuck is a dwarf dumbo hairless. Pups born 1-7-10.

FAR will only give breeding contracts for rats to established breeders.

WAITING LIST *
Waiting list people are required to check the new litters pages and contact me with a deposit within a week of the pics being posted. I have had too many wait listers change their minds, and then the poor ratties miss out on amazingly good owners! Rat babies for people on the wait list will be listed as pending, but only for one week.
FAR always get p.o.l.
Occasionally breeders will take prioritiy over waitlisters.
Chemo patients always take priority for hairless rats.

Please remember: Rats are social creatures that do best with a companion of the same sex. Rats do not need to be littermates to be wonderful cagemates, so rats from different litters, even different breeders usually live together very well, especially if introduced at a young age!

We are always striving to improve type, temperament and quality, so we need to hear about our ratties throughout their lives! If interested, contact us to get on a waiting list. F.A.R. always gets p.o.l. Adoption fees are really just a donation to offset the six two plus months of extra care and special enrichment that the mamas get during pregnancy and until they wean their babies. I request a donation of $25 standard ear, $30. dumbo ear. These fees/donations help to cover the cost of cages, high quality food and and health maintenance.
